Searching for Atosa gaskets, but are unsure how to replace them? As a foodservice industry professional, it’s essential to buy the Atosa parts specific to your appliance’s model. Buying the wrong gasket can spoil your refrigerated goods from heat leakage and risk energy loss because it’s not designed to fit that unit.

With various gasket styles (profiles) and sizes available, it can be confusing to know which one your model requires.

This guide will walk you through how to buy replacement Atosa door gaskets to keep your kitchen running smoothly.

A Guide to Buying Replacement Atosa Gaskets for Commercial Refrigeration

As an Atosa appliance owner, you must buy replacement gaskets from an Atosa parts supplier. Atosa doesn’t sell parts separately, so it’s important to understand how to shop from OEM-equivalent gasket distributors. They’ll list specific details, including the gasket size and profile, in their product descriptions that you’ll need to reference when buying parts.

Below, we’ll explain how to know which gasket applies to your model and where to find that information to ensure you buy the right Atosa refrigeration parts.

How to Know Which Atosa Door Gaskets Your Model Requires

Atosa door gaskets come in four-sided shapes and different profiles, like magnetic, which refers to how they’re installed. They have an arrow-like structure that’s pushed into the door’s retainer strip with high-energy magnets for an air-tight seal.

These are often made with PVC or Santoprene gasket materials to ensure flexibility, food safety, and temperature change resistance.

When it’s time to replace your existing gasket, whether it’s from being worn down or damaged, you’ll need to find the specs that OEM-equivalent Atosa parts suppliers will list on their product pages for your reference.

First, you’ll need to find your unit’s data plate. It’s a small metal tag or sticker that contains the exact identification information that applies to your gasket.

Depending on the unit you have, Atosa data plates are often in the following locations:

  • On the interior walls

  • Inside the cabinet

  • On the ceiling

  • On the exterior side panels

  • On the back of the unit, near the compressor

  • Behind the front grille near the compressor

Once you find the data plate, write down the model and serial numbers. The model number identifies the general appliance line, and the serial number is the unique identifier for that specific unit.

OEMs may make minor changes during production, and a slight difference of even an inch can cause air leakage and overwork your unit’s compressor from an improperly fitted gasket.

Atosa model numbers usually start with the letter M, such as MBF8005, which is an alphanumeric code. Their serial numbers typically have a “Cabiner Ser. No” label on the data plate.

If you cannot find the data plate because it’s faded or torn off from long-term use, you can get the model and serial numbers in your appliance’s operation manual.

If the operation manual isn’t available, you can also measure your existing gaskets. Simply measure the outer edges on the door (not the frame) from one edge to the other by length, width, and height, to gather the gasket dimensions.

These specs act as a work order number lookup that OEM-equivalent Atosa parts suppliers will use to help you find the applicable gasket.
